Topics covered will include:  Basic shop safety, safety procedures specifically needed for the welding shop, plasma arc cutting, and Identification of tools and equipment necessary for welding procedures in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Oxygen/Acetylene (O/A).

Students will conduct a job shadow experience in a career related to this class during the semester. Classroom and laboratory activities are supplemented through supervised agricultural experiences, and FFA leadership programs and activities.
