Ag Sales and Communication
This course introduces students to sales and principles of selling techniques for agricultural products and services, real estate, financial, and other industrial and institutional products and services. Students will develop skills to take advantage of career opportunities in the agricultural sales field. Successful salespeople intuitively prepare, learn, communicate, and evaluate; but must also be strategic to make full use of a vast array of information. The course focuses on professional selling in agricultural and related industries. It is especially geared toward those who want to explore or enhance their skills as salespeople in agribusiness.
Students will conduct a job shadow experience in a career related to this class during the semester. Classroom and laboratory activities are supplemented through supervised agricultural experiences, and FFA leadership programs and activities.
