Greenhouse Management (Plant Science)

Students will examine plant classification, anatomy, physiology, and propagation. In addition, students will develop an understanding of plant nutrition and growth and production methods. Students will be working in the greenhouse with poinsettia production in the fall and bedding plant and geranium production in the spring.

Students will conduct a job shadow experience in a career related to this class during the semester. Classroom and laboratory activities are supplemented through supervised agricultural experiences, and FFA leadership programs and activities.
