AP Chemistry
AP Chemistry provides an in-depth study of the structure of matter (Atomic Theory, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Nuclear Chemistry), states of matter (Gases, Liquids, Solids, Solutions, Intermolecular Forces), and qualitative and quantitative reactions (Redox, Acid-base, Precipitation, Stoichiometry, Kinetics, Equilibrium, Thermodynamics). Students participate in an intensive laboratory experience. AP Chemistry is the equivalent to the first two semesters of general chemistry in college. Therefore, students need to have a high level of responsibility, self-advocacy, and motivation.
