AP Biology
AP Biology develops a conceptual understanding of major biological problems as well as the role biological sciences play in addressing these issues and exploring potential solutions. Major topics include medicine, epidemiology, immunology, applied evolution and ecology, genetic engineering, cloning, biotechnology, population growth, and the role of demographics in energy and economic development, along with other relevant concepts. AP Biology is equivalent to the first two semesters of a general college-level biology course. Because of this, students are expected to demonstrate a high level of responsibility, self-advocacy, and motivation.
