ALL Students:

  • Monday - NO HALLOWEEN COSTUMES ARE TO BE WORN IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • SOCK-tober -Thank you to those who have donated socks!

 The totals are 6th: 68 pairs, 7th: 13 and 8th: 31 

The school total is 123 pairs into our 1,500 goal!

Keep bringing the socks in, the drive will go until next Friday.

  •  UKULELE CLUB Before school on Wednesday and Thursday in the library. Come on down when you get to school.

  • State Volleyball:  Norris will play at 11:00 a.m. at PBA vs. Sidney.  If you would like to attend the game - the call out form has been sent to your parents. 

  • QUIZ BOWL! NMS’s BACK TO BACK TO BACK TO BACK (There’s probably more) Quiz Bowl Championship is beginning training for our season on November 3rd in Mr. K’s Classroom (Room 303) in the purple hallway. 

  • Boys Basketball Team Store Apparel will be open until 11:59pm on Thursday, October 27th -  https://norrisboysbb2022.itemorder.com/

  • Lost and Found - You have left some items behind.  Please check out the lost n found and claim your jackets, water bottles, etc.  Also there are valuables in the office.

  • HAL - Sixth grade and Seventh Grade HAL meets during WIN Wednesday and Thursday in the library

  • HAL meets during WIN Wednesday and Thursday in the library

  • HAL  meets during WIN Mondays and Tuesdays in the library

  • Lunch Book Club/Thursdays - Any 8th grader interested in a Lunch Book Club on Thursdays, First lunch, please come see Mrs. Andre in the library for a book and a sticker for your badge

 



Craft Club- Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 in room 306

The craft of the month is clay luminaries (candles not included) and we will be able to meet 4 days!

Counselor Connection:

Emotional and mental health is a vital part of overall health. Being healthy doesn’t mean you have to be happy all the time. Emotionally and mentally healthy people still feel stress, anger, and sadness. Being healthy just means that you’re consciously aware of your emotions. You can acknowledge them, whether they’re positive or negative.

These are some ways you can improve or maintain good emotional and mental health:

  • Be aware of your reactions and emotions

  • Stop, pause, think, then react

  • Manage stress levels

  • Create balance

  • Make your physical health a priority

  • Connect with others

  • Find purpose and meaning
