TODAY’S ACTIVITIES:

Picture Retakes

State Cross Country Meet @ Kearney - Boys @ 2:30; Girls @ 3:30

Varsity Football @ Pius X - 7:00 p.m.

 

GSA - Meet in S1 TODAY after school. We will need as many people as possible to help us with some ideas. Come if you are able. Also, come pick up your GSA shirt in S1 after school! See you there! All are welcome.

 

Swim Team:   If you plan on being a part of the swim and dive team, please sign up in the high school office.  There will be a mandatory meeting during IAP on Tuesday October 25 in the high school conference room.

 

Girls Basketball:  Anyone interested in playing HS Girls Basketball this year, there will be a meeting, Tuesday morning at 7:45am in W-1 (Mr. Braun’s room).

 

SkillsUSA is offering CPR training after school starting Thursday 3:30-5:00. Cost is $10 for non SkillsUSA members. Meet in w-18 at 3:30 if interested. If you can't make it let us know and we can work something out.  

 

State Football Apparel:  The Norris State FB Store is up and set to close on Monday, October 24th at 9AM!  Please order your apparel ASAP!  They will not be able to accept any late orders due to the quick turnaround!    Here is a link for the store:

Norris Science Bowl:  Any student interested in being part of the Norris Science Bowl Group, there will be an informational meeting during IAP on October 25th in Mr. Judkins's room (E8).

 

Boys Basketball Apparel:  The Norris Boys Basketball Team Store is now up and running!

Store closes October 27th at 11:59pm!

Girls Basketball Apparel:  Our Team Store is OPEN!! Since it takes so long to get apparel back, we opened our store now.  It will take 5-6 weeks to get orders processed and shipped.  Other info is available through the following link.  Store closes on October 23!!

Norris Neighbors is seeking new mentors!

Who: sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible to apply.

What: high school students are paired with an elementary-age student to mentor every wednesday during 7th period. High School mentors will talk, read, or play games, or do other fun activities with their elementary mentee each week.

When: applications are due Monday, October 24th at noon

How: It's best for students that have unassigned or release during 7th period, but if you are extra interested in joining and can work it out with your 7th period teacher for the entire school year, we will consider you!

Students can earn community service hours for participating, this is also a great experience to include on applications for scholarships and college!   If you are interested, complete the application below:

National Honor Society Tutoring begins 2nd quarter! Tuesdays and Wednesdays at TASSC OR you can request a tutor to meet with you before school or during IAP via this Google Form!

TITANS GOT TALENT - We are so excited to announce it is time for TITANS GOT TALENT! As a reminder, this is our community-wide talent show. In the past, we have featured all different kinds of acts from singing to dancing, instrumental performances to roller-blading, and so much more. If you are interested, please fill out thisGoogle Form. Only one member of your group needs to fill out the form. Please note, auditions will be on Tuesday, November 1st, from 4:00-7:00. We will send out a sign-up sheet to reserve slots after we have compiled the list of auditioners. If you have any questions, please send them tohunter.boe@nsdtitans.org. Thank you! JUNIORS & SENIORS you can sign up now for the ASVAB held at Norris on NOVEMBER 16th 8:30am-12:00pm (CLICK HERE to REGISTER)  The ASVAB is a timed multi-aptitude Test for the Military. Scores in Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension and Mathematics Knowledge count towards the Armed Forces Qualifying Test (AFQT) score to determine qualification to enlist in the U.S. military.
