Norris FBLA Packs Meals for People City Mission
On Thursday, November 14, Norris FBLA members gathered in the cafeteria after school to pack over 200 shelf-stable meals for the local People City Mission. Members lined up in assembly-line fashion, employing scoops and butter knives to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and gloved hands to serve up bags of mini pretzels, topped off with a piece of fruit and cookies.
Community service is a pillar of Norris FBLA, and one of their goals for this year is to have over 300 total community service hours amongst its more than 40 members. The first meal packing event that Norris FBLA hosted was just last year, and they are looking forward to making it an annual tradition.
