Show up and show out in your pink gear to support those who have fought or are fighting their battle against cancer, and bring non-perishable food or personal hygiene items to support the local Norris area food pantry

Pink Out: Norris High School is partnering with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides organization to bring awareness and support to all people struggling with cancer. The local chapter of “Making Strides” will be by the concession stand at the game so you can support them and learn more.

  • The Movement: A 30-year nationwide initiative featuring 3-5 mile noncompetitive walks that have become America's largest breast cancer movement, creating a supportive community for survivors, metastatic breast cancer patients, caregivers, and families.
  • The Mission: Provides an inclusive, welcoming environment for all people affected by breast cancer—regardless of gender, including survivors, those with metastatic disease, and male survivors.
  • The Impact: Fundraises for lifesaving breast cancer research and patient support programs while advancing health equity to ensure everyone has fair access to living longer, healthier lives free from breast cancer.

Nearly 50 million Americans live in food-insecure households, so First State Bank Nebraska is challenging the Norris and Beatrice communities to face off at their football game to see who can collect the most food to benefit the local Norris Area food pantry. This past week at school, Norris High Schoolers have been working hard to collect food, and playing in fun games along the way. Can you match their efforts to beat Beatrice twice and raise the most food?

WEAR PINK and HONOR ALL THOSE AFFECTED BY CANCER IN THE NORRIS COMMUNITY!
