Intermediate Students to Read Wild Robot as a School!
We are excited to announce that our One Book One School (OBOS) event will take place throughout February! OBOS is a fun, engaging way for our school community to come together while celebrating a shared love of reading.
Thanks to the fundraising efforts of Read-A-Thon, every student will receive their book on Monday, February 2nd, and we will read together throughout the month. Our OBOS celebration will wrap up with a schoolwide movie viewing, a virtual author visit, and celebration days on February 26th and 27th.
Below are a few notes about how One Book One School works:
- Most nightly reading assignments take 10 minutes or less. Recordings of each chapter will be available on our OBOS website. Students may read independently, read with an adult, or listen to the audio recordings.
- The OBOS website is: https://sites.google.com/nsdtitans.org/nisoboswildrobot/home
- Some chapters will be read during class time. Please refer to the calendar in your child’s book packet or on the website.
- If a student misses a night of reading, they are welcome to come to the library at 8:10 AM the next morning. chapters will be played to help students get caught up.
- Each week, classes can participate in fun activities and games related to the book. We will have Tuesday trivia questions, all-school Blookets on Fridays, and a variety of cross-curricular lessons and art projects inspired by the story.
We are so excited to have every student at Norris Intermediate reading together! Thank you for your support in making this special event a success.
