Author Visit at Norris Intermediate and Elementary
Writing and Illustrating Workshops with Nebraska Author, Bruce Arant
Thanks to READ-A-THON Funds, Norris Elementary
and Intermediate School are thrilled to announce that
Nebraska author and illustrator, Bruce Arant, will be visiting Norris the week of October 27–30!
Bruce is the author of the Golden Sower nominee Simpson’s Sheep Won’t Go to Sleep! and winner of the Nebraska Book Award for Simpson’s Sheep Just Want to Sleep!—a “cheery, tender tale perfect for silly, yet gentle farm-themed story time.”
During his visit, Bruce will lead fun, hands-on workshops where students will:
- Learn how stories are written and illustrated
- Explore story elements in exciting, creative ways
- Try out their own ideas with guidance from a real author & illustrator
His sessions are educational, interactive, and entertaining, giving students the chance to see how books come to life!
We’re so excited for our Norris students to be inspired by Bruce’s humor, creativity, and love of storytelling.
Bruce will be visiting the ELEMENTARY building on October 27 & 29th
and the INTERMEDIATE Building on October 28th & 30th
Students will have the opportunity to purchase a
personalized book from Bruce for $15.00 by
filling out the order form sent home the week of October 9th.
Cash or Check can be sent with the form back
to the students’ teacher by October 22nd.
