The Norris School District Educational Foundation exists to enhance the programs & services of the school district, and is a registered 501c3 charitable organization. Since 1988, the Foundation has provided over half a million dollars in scholarships and SEED grant money.

Donors can identify their donation to be earmarked for the SEED fund, and become an underwriter of the next great creative classroom idea of a Norris teacher. This encourages their creative classroom practices to flourish beyond the boundaries of the traditional school equipment and supplies budget. SEED grants awarded in prior years include ortho-ball chairs for classrooms, raised bed gardens for science, robotics STEM activities, student-video news-studio equipment, and audio-books for our media center.

Scholarships for Norris graduating seniors remain the major focus of the Foundation’s annual giving. The Norris Foundation annually provides thousands of dollars in post-secondary scholarships to Norris seniors. These scholarships allow them to fulfill their post-secondary dreams and help the district achieve its mission of ensuring every student thrives as a productive lifelong learner.
