No Off-Season for Norris Teachers Attending Google Summit
It may be mid-July, but your Norris team is hard at work getting geared up for the new school year with the latest and greatest tech innovations from Google for schools. Seventeen Norris staff members attended last week's Great Plains Google Summit with hundreds of area educators. The Summit was hosted at Lincoln Southwest High School and includes a slate of keynote speakers who are renowned national leaders in digital learning and Instructional Technology.
Breakout sessions were abundant and featured topics including the use of Google Sheets for student data, building apps, deploying sites, creating the optimal blended learning environment combining digital and face-to-face instruction, and designing enhanced slides and docs.
Norris is a Google Apps for education school and deploys Gmail and Chrome browser tech for newtwork users. Norris uses Chromebooks extensively at the classroom level as a collaborative tool for document creation and sharing and accessing Norris' wireless network.
