Fourth graders learn about a day in the life of an officer
Our fourth-grade classrooms invited Officer Brenner to speak about a day in the life of an officer. Students learned about what it takes to become an officer, how officers maintain their badges, and what an officer may experience on any given day. Students were also given the opportunity to check out his Ford Explorer cruiser and were even able to clock a car passing by. Luckily for Mrs. Rice, she was traveling at a very safe speed!! Our students presented Officer Brenner with, "Law Enforcement Survival Kits,' in the hopes of expressing a small token of our appreciation for the sacrifices all officers make for our safety on a daily basis. Thanks to Officer Brenner for his visit, and thanks to our very own, Joe Gehr, our outstanding school resource officer for all that he does for our school district!!
