Dr. Kristyn Jones, an agricultural educator at Norris High School, will be honored at the 2018 Nebraska Career Education Conference as the Outstanding Career Educator Award recipient in the area of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources.  She was selected based on her innovative classroom practices, service to the teaching profession, service to students, and personal and professional growth.  
 
Jones will receive a $1000 cash award.  Additionally, in June, she will interview against other top educators in career and technical education fields at the 2018 Nebraska Career Education Conference for a chance at an additional $2500.
 
Dr. Jones is completing her 17th year as an agricultural educator and FFA advisor at Norris High school.  She and her husband, Ryan, reside in Lincoln.
