She taught elementary school, and was a university professor at University of Texas San Antonio and the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Dr. Wendelin taught courses in reading, language arts, children’s literature, and adolescent literature.  She later became an elementary media specialist.  She has taught workshops and courses in many locations through Doane College and the University of Nebraska –Omaha. She has served as a consultant for the PBS program. “Reading Rainbow” and the author of the Teacher’s guide and math guide for the series.  She resides in a log cabin full of books right here in the Norris district with her husband and dog.Web: http://prairiesunshine.net/logcablib/logcabinlibrarian.htmlSummer Reading Fun! Holly Gifford has been hired to be the Norris Elementary Media Specialist for 2010-2011.  She has made a big impact on the love of reading and will host the summer reading program here this summer. Her family lives in the Norris School District.Located in Pod Two:  College and Financial PlanningChad Otto is a Norris graduate.  He is the assistant vice president in the loan department at First State Bank.
