have been with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office since 1990. Since I've been with the Sheriff's Office, I have had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of areas. I have worked in our Patrol Division for a majority of my career. While in the Patrol Division, I served on our Accident Reconstruction Team for 16 years. I have served in our Special Services Division. This time was spent doing courtoom security, prisioner transports and prisioner extraditions. Finally, I have worked in our Civil Division. My primary responsibilties were civil process and writs of restitution.

The Sheriff's Office started the School Resource Officer (SRO) Program in 2006. It was started with me working at all 4 high schools in Lancaster County. In 2008, that expanded to 2 deputies. In 2016, Norris and the Sheriff's Office entered a partership to start with a full time SRO. The Sheriff's Office now has 3 SRO's. Deputy May works full time at Waverly High School, Deputy Piitz splits his time between Malcolm Schools and Raymond Central and I am full time at Norris. I have been at Norris on and off since 2006.  I love working at Norris and the communities it serves.

The SRO program was started in the 1950's in Flint, Michigan. The goal was to improve the relationship between the police and youth. It is also designed to be a resource to teachers, parents and students.
