The weather was gorgeous and a perfect day for soccer.  As a expected, it was a defensive battle from the start.  Each team would remain scoreless in the first half of play.Just 3 minutes into the 2nd half, Pius had an opportunity to score off a corner kick when there was a scramble in the box and a Titan defender lost her mark in the box.  Kelsey Nealon scored for the Bolts.  Just 3 minutes later, the Bolts set up for another corner kick and scored again when Emma Rashilla got her foot on it, again in a crowed box, and a mistep by a Titan.  "We usually defend corners much better than we did today.  The box was crowded and we stepped too soon," stated coach Myers. With just 10 minutes left in the second half, Pius scored their final goal by Mary Kate Sievert.  "This was a much improved Pius team from last year.  They were fast and connected passes to each other.  We never established any flow in our own offensive attack, but defensively we played more consistant." said Myers. In the junior varsity game, the Titans lost 0-2.The lady Titans have a busy week, starting with Waverly on Monday,  4/4, Crete on Tuesday, and fisnish out the week with a game against 5th ranked Platteview.
