Behind a strong offense and solid pitching the Norris Titans won their first ever EMC baseball title. The Titans came strong out of the gate and scored four runs in the first , two in the second and 1 in the 3rd fourth and fifth for the 9-5 win over host Gretna. The Dragons scored 1 run in the first, third, fourth,fifth, and 7th innings. Pitching for Norris was Payton Kinney. He went six innings allowing 10 hits, 3 earned runs, 2 walks and 3 k's. Hitters were Jason Willet with a single, Jakson Reetz had a single and a homerun, Ryan Ormonde had a double, Byron Hood added a single, Jake Peterson had a double and Ben Bentzinger topped off the hitting with two singles.Next action for the Titans is Tuesday with the host Beatrice. JV starts at 4:30 with varsity to follow.
