The Norris 8th grade football team took on Gretna Tuesday, September 13th.  After a score-less first half of tough defensive play, The Dragons took the lead by six early in the third quarter, but the Titans responded with a score of their own on a deep catch by Chase Bryant, followed by a successful two-point conversion by Grant Morrison.  With time ticking away in the fourth quarter, however, Gretna was able to secure another touchdown to win the game 14-8. "The players have really shown a lot of growth so far this season, and I look forward to the progress they will make during the remainder," said Coach Murtaugh after the game.  The Norris 8th Grade Boys will play their next game at home on September 27th, 4:15 p.m The Norris 7th grade football team hosted the Dragons on the same night it was also a defensive battle.  The teams battled to a scoreless tie through three quarters, neither team could get much offense going.  Titan DB Cole Graham stopped 2 Dragon drives with interceptions in the third quarter.  With just over two minutes remaining the Gretna offense hit the play of the game catching a 35 yard play action pass down to the Titan one yard line.  Two plays later the Dragons punched it in.  The Titan defense stuffed the two point try, but unfortunately the Titans could not drive the length of the field to tie the game.  Next action for the thg grade team will be September 27th when the travel to Waverly for a 4:15 pm kick off.
