Board of Education vacancy application

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Board of Education of Norris School District #160 as a result of the death of Patty Bentzinger. In accordance with state law, the Board will begin the process of appointing an individual to complete the remainder of Mrs. Bentzinger’s term on the board. The length of the unexpired term is for the same length of time as Ms. Bentzinger would have served on the Board of Education. Interested Applicants must live in Ward 2 to be appointed for the open seat.

TeamMates recognized for making a difference for Norris students

January is national mentoring month. The Norris vs York basketball game provided an opportunity to recognize and thank those people that volunteer their time to help with the TeamMates programs at Norris. A special thanks to the mentors and board members who are making a difference for about 50 students in grades 3-12.

TeamMates is working to provide students with support, friendship, and a positive example to students in Nebraska and the surrounding states. TeamMates mentors gift is the time that they spend with their mentees and the interest they show in their growth and accomplishments. Please note that there is always a need for more mentors.
