Second graders explore diversity with color
Miss Bertrand's 2nd Grade IET group has been talking about diversity this month in response to Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This week they read the story 'The Crayon Box That Talked', which discusses how each crayon is unique and how all of the colors together can create a beautiful picture. The students were able to relate this to our world and how we are all different and that's what makes our world beautiful, too. They completed an art project to compare a world where everything is the same and a world where there is beauty in our differences.
