Norris Parents, Public Invited to Complete survey for Superintendent Search & District Needs Assessment

Wednesday, January 16, 2019

The Norris School Board recently accepted the resignation of Superintendent Dr. John Skretta due to career advancement. We are grateful for Dr. Skretta’s service to Norris School District 160 and wish him well in his future endeavors as the Educational Service Unit #6 Administrator.

The Board of Education is working diligently to prepare for the charge of hiring a superintendent. Hiring a superintendent is one of the most important endeavorsof a board; therefore, we will approach this task with fervent attention to each vital detail necessary to ensure a rewarding and successful search.  It is our goal to hire a quality and competent administrator to continue to lead the district forward in the years to come.

As the board plans for the hire, we value and seek the input of patrons, parents, students, staff and administrators.  The first means of submitting your personal comments is to complete an online form by going to http://nasbonline.org/portal/superintendentsearch/SuperintendentSearchDistrictAssessment.aspx?s=143 to provide NASB Search Services and your Norris Board with crucial insights.  Please offer suggestions pertaining to skills, qualities, or characteristics the candidate might possess in order to be successful in his or her role as superintendent and your views about the strengths of the school district and community.  Parents and community members are also invited to provide input at a public information gathering session facilitated by the NASB Search Services team at 6 pm Wednesday, January 30 in the HS Media Center.

If you wish to complete a hard copy of the form instead of the online query, please stop by the district office (southeast end of the HS) at your convenience and the form will be provided for you. You may also email responses to the questions below directly to Shari Becker (NASB) at sbecker@nasbonline.org

The Norris Board would like to thank you in advance for providing input through the Staff and Community District Needs Assessment Survey.
