Norris High School students earn 2nd place in video contest

Friday, February 16, 2018

Norris High School junior, Tiera Berggren and sophomore, Chanasei Ziemann earned 2nd place in this year's "Field to Fuel" video contest sponsored by the Nebraska Ethanol Board.  The video contest encourages Nebraska high school students to explore the importance and value of American Ethanol.  With a focus on informing the public about renewable fuels, students are asked to research, film and edit a two-minute video for a chance to win a $1,000 grand prize.  In addition, the winning entries will be used by the Nebraska Ethanol Board and will be posted on the Nebraska Ethanol Board website.

Tiera and Chanasei wrote and recorded their script, interviewed teachers, and selected footage for their video.  The aerial footage was shot at Norris High School with the school's drone at the FFA's annual harvest day.  The students then went through all the different footage and found the pieces they wanted to use.  The video was edited with Adobe Premiere Pro adding titles, interviews, b-roll footage, transitions, music, and voice-over script.

Congratulations to Tiera and Chanasei!
