Norris Elementary Reading Challenge in March
Norris Elementary Reading Challenge in March
During the month of March, all students preschool through second grade are invited to participate in the Norris Elementary school wide reading challenge.
We are challenging each student to read at least 10 books during the month of March. Students will color in a paw print for each book read (by themselves or with an adult), and then turn the completed sheet into their classroom teacher. Students are welcome to complete more than ten books, if they wish.
Classroom teachers will turn in collected, completed sheets to the principal each week. We will track our progress as a school outside of the office. Let’s see if we can read at least 5,850 books as a school in March!
Students that complete the 10 book challenge will receive a free meal at Raising Cane’s (one meal per student). As a school, we will celebrate our success with an assembly and a 10th birthday party for Izzy, our therapy dog in early April.
