2021 Norris High School Prom
Saturday, April 17, 2021, 8:00-11:00 pm
Time: Gates open at 8 pm and close at 9 pm
Location: Norris School District Football Stadium and Field
Contingency plan due to weather: Norris High School South Gym and Main Hallway - Use West Doors by Auditorium

Parking: Park on the west side of the high school - between school and football field. No other doors will be accessible.

Lockers: Students will not have access to lockers, only the main hallway. Do not bring items into the building you will not have with you at all times (valuables). There is no locker/check-in of items.

Attendance: Only Juniors and Seniors from Norris High School are invited to attend Prom. Juniors and Seniors may ask a Freshman or Sophomore from Norris High School to accompany them as their date for the evening.

Entering/Leaving: Once a student has left the building, he/she is not permitted back into the school building.

Theme: Starry Night

Food and Drink: Individually packaged snack foods are FREE to all students in attendance including pretzels, wings, popcorn bar, nacho bar and sweet treats are provided to all Norris prom attendees by the Norris Post Prom Committee members, parent volunteer Jen Faz. As well, a coffee bar will be available for all students attending prom.

Photo Booth: There will a photographer available at the photo booth. You may order photos once posted on the Norris website next week.

Added to Prom 2021: The Post Prom Committee will be giving away some AWESOME prizes throughout the night, both big and small! Students could win a 50" Smart TV, PS4, Nintendo Switch, AirPod Pros, Apple Watch, gift cards, and more!!! Throughout the night, names will be drawn for this, so be PRESENT TO WIN!

Collecting prizes: All prizes won throughout the night will be collected when the student is departing. Students may not pick up a prize ahead of when leaving and take the prize to his/her vehicle and go back into the building. All prizes will be in Room W-1. Prizes not collected at the end of the night will not be available for collection after the conclusion of prom on April 17th.

Requirements addressing current DHMs:
1. Attendance will be well below the 75% capacity in either venue.
2. Masks will be required at Norris High School prom.
3. Temperature checks will be conducted as the students enter.
4. Hand sanitizer stations will be at the following locations: entering the commons area, entering and exiting the dance floor, and in the area of the drinks and food station. 5. Students, staff, and chaperones must self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms and stay home if they exhibit any symptoms.
5. Seating areas will be separate from the dance floor and physical distance will be maintained in the seating areas. At the football stadium, we will have seating areas on the track area, away from the dance floor on the turf. Should we be inside, seating will be on half of the court while the dance floor will be on the other side of the court.
6. Individually packaged snack items and individual water bottles will be provided for the students. Students will social distance while eating and drinking outside. If the dance is held inside, students will eat at the lunch tables in the commons area that has dividers.
7. Only those parents with children on the royalty court will be permitted at into the building at the West doors at 10 pm for the Coronation. The parents will be in a separate area, away from students.

  b. Parents of royalty court will be asked to self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms before entering.

Prom 2021 Royalty Court
The following students’ parents are invited to arrive at the West doors of the High School at 10 pm. Parents will enter the West doors at 10 pm and may go to the designated area of the gym. Crowning will happen just after 10 pm.
