The Norris High School Cheerleaders are hosting tryouts for the 2021/2022 season. We would love to have you on our team! You do NOT need to have previous cheerleading experience.

Informational Meeting: Located in the Library at Norris High School

There will be an informational meeting for all cheerleader applicants and their parent(s)/guardian(s) on Monday, March 8th at 6pm. All parents and applicants are highly encouraged to attend!

Completed Forms: Due before 6:30am on Monday, March 15, 2021

Four forms are required – cheerleader information form, contract form, squad choice form, and two teacher recommendation forms. Forms are available on the cheer website. Forms may be turned in electronically or in person to either Coach Clement (HS S-1) or the MS/HS Offices.

Clinics: Located in the HS Wrestling Deck

March 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th from 6:30am - 8:00am  and/or 3:30pm - 5:00pm

• Learn all tryout material.

Friday, March 19th from 6:30am - 8:00am  and/or 3:30pm - 5:00pm

• Review and mock tryout - Candidates may leave after their mock tryout or stay and practice

Candidates can attend either the morning or the afternoon clinic sessions. Candidates are not required to attend both sessions.

Tryouts: Located in the HS South Gym 

Saturday, March 20th starting at 9am

• Candidates will exit the building directly after completing their tryout

Squad Announcements: Online 

Sunday, March 21st by 12pm 

• Squad rosters will be posted on the NHS Cheer Website and the Norris Website. 

How to Apply:

1. Be currently enrolled and entering 9th-12th grade for the 2021-2022 school year.

2. Attend the informational meeting on March 8th at 6pm.

3. Complete the Candidate Information Form

4. Get two Teacher Recommendations

5. Complete the NHS Cheer Squad Choice Form

6. Complete the NHS Cheer Contract Form

7. Complete each form by March 15th at 6:30am
