Thursday, October 25 from 10 AM to 1 PM Norris will be the host site for a Nebraska Community Blood Bank drive in memory of Ryan Post. Ryan Post was 13 years old and an 8^th grader at Norris Middle School when she was killed in a car accident on her way home from school. She was an amazing girl who loved life. Ryan was a dedicated cheerleader, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, and friend. She took on the world with wide eyes and a big smile. The blood drive commemorates the anniversary of Ryan's passing.

Ryan received 5 units of blood, and although her life was cut short, it gave her the opportunity to help others. She helped save 5 lives through organ donation and improved the lives of 11 others through tissue donation. Her parents want to continue this generosity in her name by inviting friends, family, and the community to donate blood in her memory.
