The Norris 8th Grade Titan Football Team ran away with a victory last Tuesday against the Platteview Trojans, winning 30 to 6.  The offensive, as well as defensive performances allowed the Titans to gain an early lead with a touchdown by Patrick Quinn followed by fumble recoveries in the end zone by Beau Bucher and Lucas Sullivan on the next two defensive series.  Bucher also scored offensively after the half, an offensive drive that began after an interception by Maison Burnley, giving the Titans a 30 to nothing lead. Two-point conversions were tacked on with passes to Beau Bucher and Chase Bryant, and an option quarterback keeper by Grant Morrison.  Dominic Jensen, Beau Bucher, and Lucas Sullivan recovered fumbles during the game.  Platteview scored late in the game, making the final score 30 to 6.  When asked to comment on the performance, Coach Murtaugh stated, "it was an all-around effort on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.  I'm proud of the team's performance, and happy to see so many members were able to contribute to this success."  The 8th Grade Titans will finish their season this coming Tuesday, at 4:15 when they take on Plattsmouth at home.

The Norris 8th Grade football team took on the Waverly Vikings Tuesday in their first home game of the season.  After back and forth scoring drives, the Titans tied the score at twelve-all before half with touchdowns from Wyatt Kile and Max Devine.  The second of the drives was assisted by great defensive and offensive performances, and aided by an interception by Chase Bryant.  Beginning on offense at the beginning of the second half, Norris forged ahead when Wyatt Kile scored again on an option pitch.  Beau Bucher sealed the victory with a touchdown run at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
The Norris 7th Grade Football Team improved to 2-1 this last Tuesday with a nail-biting 6-0 win over Platteview. The Titans got on the board early with a 3-yard touchdown run by Taylor Baehr. But penalties and a lack of ball security prevented the Titans from scoring again.  The Titan defense, for the second week in a row, held the opposing team scoreless by stopping the Platteview offense twice on 1st-and-goal situations from the five yard line. In the previous week the 7th Grade Team had defeated Waverly 6-0, Taylor Baehr also had the lone score for the Titans. The 7th graders will finish their season this next Tuesday at Plattsmouth.
