Norris: 0 0 = 0Pius : 2 2 = 4 The Norris Titan Girls' soccer team took on Lincoln Pius X, Saturday, March 31st. The conditions were sunny, hot, and windy. The Thunderbolts scored first with just 2:30 off the clock. Kelsey Engstrom shot a hard-driven ball from the top of the 18 yd. box that go past junior goalkeeper Brooke Wohlers. The Titans buckled down defesively and kept Pius from scoring until the 29th minute of the 1st half. Emily Arrigo scored for the Bolts.In the second half of play, the Titans had the wind at their backs but only shot 3 times. "You cannot expect to win a game if you are not shooting, the ball," coach Myers said. "We really do a nice job defensively, but need to get into a better offensive state of mind." Pius would score 2 more times in the 2nd half, with goals coming from Bridget Hansen and Rachel Menke. Final score was 0-4.The lady Titans start next week with Waverly, then Crete on Tuesday, and have Platteview on Thursday. This will be the 3rd week of the season that the Titans play 3 matches in the same week. Come cheer the Titans on when they return back home on Thursday, April 5
