Norris - 0 0 0 0 4  = 1LNE -      0 0 0 0 1 = 0Call it kismet.  Call it good karma.  Call it a good sign.  Call it what you will, but the day before the game against Lincoln Northeast there were middle school kids shooting off rockets in the soccer field next to where the lady Titans were practicing.  Coach Myers, who was thinking about how to keep her team going late in the season pulled up next to Nebraska basketball coach Connie Yori at the gas station after practice and was inspired what she had done with the lady Huskers.   The feeling and energy in the locker room for pre game was positive too.  Maybe it was because it was Parent and Senior Recognition night and the last home game of the regular season.   It just seemed  like it was one of those games going into it that all was right with the world.  It was the game the Norris Lady Titans expected - physical and fast.  They even thought it might go into a shoot out.   The history of these two teams is always a tight game.In the first half of play, the Titans took 12 shots on goal, 2 free kicks, and 4 corner kicks, but did not score.  The Lincoln Northeast Rockets took 5 shots, 1 free kick, and one corner kick and were equally unsuccessful in scoring. In the second half of play the Titans had plenty of opportunities to score.  The Rockets took as many shots on goal as well.  At the end of regulation paly it was all tied up 0-0.No scoring occured in over time,  in either 10 minute period, so the Titans and Rockets lined up for the shoot out.  The Rockets won the toss and elected to shoot second.  Rachel Hansen was the first to shoot and scored for the Titans.  Then the Rockets shot and Tessa Staely hit the cross bar. Samantha Areman was the second shooter to score for the Titans.  Becky Walrath shot next and go the ball in the back of the net.  Alex Mathers scored the 3rd goal for the Titans.  The next shooter for the Rockets shot directly into the hands of Titan goal keeper Ashley Schroeder.  Junior defender Brittany Cvitak shot the final penalty kick to secure the win for the Titans.  In a shoot out, you get one point for winning the the shoot out giving the Titans a 1-0 shoot out victory.
