Gretna:      3             1               =                  4Norris:       1             0               =                  1The Norris Lady Titan soccer team (preseason ranked no. 5) opened up their season on the road against number 2 ranked Gretna.  Gretna was last year's class B state soccer tournament runner-up behind Omaha Skutt.Gretna didn't waste anytime scoring.  Jessica Tarsikes scored the first of her 4 goals at the 6 minute mark.  She received a through ball and then beat the defensive line.  Tarsikes's next goal came off a cross from teammate Jordyn Wollenburg. In the 37th minute of the 1st half, the Titans got on the scoreboard when senior Sam Areman drove down the field and put a hard shot on Gretna's goal keeper, Sarah Warren.  The ball deflected off her and junior Kayla German was there to finish in goal.  Gretna came right back and within 2 minutes, scored their 3rd goal of the half.In the second half of play, the Titans shored up their defense and played a much better half defensively, but struggled to get anything going offensively.     Gretna scored their final goal of the second half in the 50th minute.The Titans take on Seward on Tuesday, and Elkhorn South on Thursday of this week.
