Norris:         2            0          =     2Platteview:  1            2           =    3The Lady Titan Soccer team started the week with 2 wins and were feeling confident going into their match with Platteview.  The weather conditions for the game were poor.  Constant rain and tough field conditions in Platteview would prove challenging for both teams.  This match, playing an uprecidented 5th game in 7 days for the lady Titans would be a factor in the outcome. In the first half of the match the Titans and Trojans were even in the number of shots taken. However, Rachael Granville scored first by beating outside defensive back Jessi Taylor and driving into the box for the score.  Just 5 minutes later at the 10 minute mark, Sam Areman sent a hard driven ball across the 6 yard box that Kayla German finished on.  Senior Samantha Areman would score a goal in the 16th minute to give the Titans the lead at half 2-1.In the second half of play, the rain kept falling and both teams continued to battle in sloppy conditions.  Platteview was able to tie the game up in the 62nd minute when Rachael Granville crossed a good ball into the box that  junior Christa Manning was able to shoot into goal.   In the 74th minute,  it was Rachael Grandville again, only this time by herself.  She tore through the Titan defensive line and dribbled into the 6 yard box  close enough for a point blank shot past Titan goal keeper Ashley Schroeder.  In the remaining 6 minutes, the Titans were able to shoot on the Trojans but failed to score.   The Titan's record drops to 4-4.
