Norris:      2          4       =   6Neb. City:  0         0       =    0"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds," a quote from the United States Postal Service.  If the Lady Titan Soccer team was the postal service, they truly delivered in their game against the Nebraska City Pioneers on Monday, March 28th. "I was a bit concerned about the weather as we traveld to Nebraska City and how we would respond to it." said coach Myers.  "When we arrived it was flurryiing and sleeting slightly.  At times the snow came down harder."In the first half, senior Sam Areman got the scoring started on a drive into the box on a breakaway.  Just 8 minutes later, Areman scored off a rebounded shot inside the 6 yard box."I thought we started slow in the first half.  We talked about options at half time and about moving and working together more as a unit on the field.  We lacked rythm and flow in the first half." Myers said. The Titans made the adjustments and scored 4 goals in the second half.  Senior Maddie MacDonald scored at the 43rd minute off a bobble by the Pioneer's goal keeper.  3 minutes later, Kayla German finished on beautiful cross from Areman. In the 76th minute, Alex Mathers scored a goal off a corner kick by teammate Sam Areman.  Just 2 minutes later, Mathers scored again by herself on a drive into the box.  Areman finished the game with 4 assists along with her 2 goals in the first half.  "The effort in the second half, and the teamwork that happened on the field was very encouraging.  This is a special group of athletes that I think will just continue to get better and better with each game," said coach Myers.
