Norris:   0  0  = 0Gretna:   3  2  = 5In the quarterfinals of the EMC soccer tournament, the Lady Titans traveled to Gretna to face the number one seeded (10-1) Dragons. The temperature sored in the 90's at kick off and made for a very warm match.  The Dragons scored first at the 13th minute when midfielder Emily Roll got between two Norris defenders and lofted a shot over goal keeper Brooke Wohler's outstretched hands.  "Our goal for this game was to play defensively.  We chose a formation to keep Gretna from getting the "easy" shots," stated coach Myers.At the 25th minute mark, Ellie Karloff scored Gretna's second goal.  In the 37th minute, Madison Paskevic scored the Dragons' third goal.  Gretna led 3-0 going into half time.In the second half of play, the Titans could not get any offense generated, taking only 3 shots the entire half.  The Dragons scored in the 63rd minute and the 70th minute, to finish the match with a 5-0 victory. The Titans return home and will now prepare for district play that begins on Monday, April 30th.  The Titans will meet Nebraska City for the 3rd time this season.  If they win in the first round, they will take on number one seeded Lincoln Pius on Tuesday, May 1st.
