Forsman wins Limeades for Learning grant

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

Limeades for Learning is an event that occurs every fall and is funded by Sonic restaurants. Each day people can vote for different projects teachers have submitted to get materials funded for their classrooms. The top 100 projects that have the most votes get their projects funded. This year, 2nd grade teacher, Bekka Forsman, was able to post a project to ask for an iPad to be added to her classroom. Her class loves to use technology and she wanted to add another iPad to the classroom to be accessible for her students to practice phonics skills while they are working on in the reading curriculum, and to provide another access to give students the opportunity to listen to fluent reading to improve their reading fluency when working independently.  Ms. Forsman made the top 100 on the final week of Limeades for Learning and her class is excited to start using the iPad on a daily basis!
