Norris Girls Lose Close Game to Elkhorn            The Norris Lady Titans hosted Elkhorn Friday night for a regular season EMC game.  It was a close battle throughout the game with Norris coming up short 44-42.  In the first quarter Norris jumped out to an early lead 14-8.  Norris had control of the game until the middle of the second quarter.  Unfortunately for Norris they could not find the mark offensively and Elkhorn took advantage outscoring Norris 11-8 to take a 19-18 halftime lead.            Norris knew they had to have a strong third quarter and came out ready to retake the lead.  Both teams battled throughout the quarter with Norris outscoring Elkhorn 9-8 and tie the game at 27 all.  The fourth quarter was a dog fight.  Norris got themselves in a jam and Elkhorn took an eight point lead mid way through the quarter.  Norris was determined to not go down without a fight.  They forced turnovers and climbed back to within one point.  Elkhorn made one more free throw to take a two point lead.  With seven seconds to go Norris rebounded the ball and drove the length of the floor only to have the ball bounce off a foot as time ran out.  The girls played very hard and had some opportunities to win the game.  Unfortunately we came up just a little short.  Norris is now 2-1 on the season and 1-1 in EMC play.            Norris will travel to Blair Tuesday for another EMC game and then host Seward on Saturday.Norris Scoring:            Sam Areman 12, Felicia Tekolste 12, Ashley Schroeder 10, Alex Mathers                                    4, Alix Bryant 2, Tori Simpson 2Rebounding:               Tekolste 13, Schroeder 7, Areman 3, Mathers 3, Simpson 3, Bryant 2,                                    Taylor 2Steals:                          Areman 4, Taylor 3, Schroeder 3, Mathers 1, Simpson 1Assists:                        Mathers 4, Areman 2, Taylor 1
