Our varsity girl's track team traveled to Crete on Saturday, March 20th to compete in the Doane Class B Invitational.  Competing against 18 other teams the girls took an 8th place finish.While we did not score high in the meet we did have some nice results and the meet was a chance for us to see where our weaknesses fell and what we need to work on in practice in the upcoming weeks.  Doane is a great meet to start off with because it is a high calibre  meet with plenty of great competition.  Many of the schools are in our Districts or in our Conference.Below are the team place finishes and the girls individual results:Teams:  1st Fillmore Central 67, tie for 2nd  Crete and Seward 58 pts., 4th York 51, 5th Blair 43, Auburn 6th 42, Arlington 7th 23, NORRIS 8th 18, Beatrice 9th 14, David City 10th 9 pts., Wahoo and Syracuse tied for 11th with 8, Central City 13th with 2, and Schuyler, Waverly, DC West, Ralson, and Centennial scored no points.Individual Results:Long Jump:  Leah Burbach 14'1.5" and Kristina Price 13' 9.5"Triple Jump:  Leah Burbach 31'1.5" and Kristina Price 31'.5"High Jump:  Kelly Prange 4'4"Shot Put:  Niki McKinstry 28'9" and Jessica Jackson 24'6.5"Pole Vault:  Natalie Nason 8'0" and Erin Bartlett 7'6"55mHHurdles:  Gretchen Kroese 1st 9.24 and Abby Olsen 10.2855mDash:  Gretchen 7.94 and Krista Baade 8.75200m Dash:  Krista Baade 31.15 and Gretchen Kroese 29.08400m Dash:  Kristina Price 1:08.05 and Sophia Sonnenberg 1:09.07800m Run:  Annelise Madison 5th 2:32.64 and Sophia Sonnenberg 2:38.891600m Run:  Meradith Ganow 3rd 6:04.24 and Avery Pella 6:54.863200m Run:  Emily Moravec 14:18.444x400m Relay:  4:46.75  Gretchen Kroese, Leah Burbach, Krista Baade, and Sophia SonnenbergThe girls will host the Crete/Norris Dual next Tuesday, March 30 at 4:00 and also the Titan Relays on Thursday, April 1 at 2:00 in the afternoon.  It will be a busy week, but we are looking forward to the competition and in hosting these two meets for our District patrons.
