Titans avenge previous Holiday Tourney loss to Waverly

On Friday, Norris got another chance at the Waverly Vikings, who beat them in the Holiday Tourney.  This time the outcome favored Norris.  The game was the same as the last one as Waverly took the lead after the first quarter and then led at the half.  This time Waverly had an eight point lead, 29 to 21.  With things not looking so good, the Titans knew they had to make some adjustments and they did.  The Titans tweaked their defensive scheme a little  and it worked as Waverly only scored 4 points in the third quarter.  Waverly still had the lead, 33 to 32 but the Titans now had a chance.  The lead changed several times in the fourth and it looks as though Waverly would win again as they had a two point lead and was shooting two free-throws with only 12 seconds left.  Waverly missed both free-throws and Norris hurried the ball down the floor and Jake Peterson drove down thelane and kicked the ball out to AJ Flodman who hit a three-pointer with only 2.7 seconds left, to give the Titans a 46 to 45 lead.  Wavely got off a half court shot that missed which gave the Titans the victory.

Scoring for Norris:  AJ Flodman 13, Logan Dorn 11, Dylan Bohlke 11, Jakson Reetz 7, Tony Mainelli 2 and Jake Peterson 2
