Norris 7th Football team defeats Waverly

The Norris seventh grade football team traveled to Waverly last Tuesday and defeated the Vikings 22-0. The seventh graders moved to 2-0 on the season with the victory. The titans started the game with the ball and drove all the way down to the Viking one yard line only to be stopped on four attempts. On the Vikings third play from their own two yard line, a gang of titans stopped the runner in the end zone for a safety and a quick 2-0 lead.  On the ensuing possession the titans drove all the way down the field and Gavin Eason scored the  first touchdown for the titans. Gavin then scored the two-point conversion to give the titans a 10-0 lead.  On the next possession for the titans Will Reetz threw a 10 yard touchdown pass to Chris Nitsche and Gavin Eason ran in the two-point conversion to push the titan lead to 18-0. The final scoring drive of the game was 15 yard touchdown pass from Will Reetz to Bryce Stai, the extra point failed and the final score was 22-0. The titan defense was stellar against the Vikings by only gave up one first down for the entire game.

Coaches Halvorsen and Harrington noted that the great defensive effort set the tone for another dominating performance by the seventh grade football team.
