After defeating Crete in the district tournament final on Tuesday, the Titans were paired with the Cardinals for Saturday's Sub-State playoff. Winner would get to advance to the state tournament in Omaha next week. The Titans jumped out to a 1 - 0 lead after Tanner Wood scored in the 2nd minute of play. Avery Yendra set up Wood with a brilliant pass and Wood connected. Midway through the first half, Tanner Wood connected on a free kick just outside the penalty area to give Norris a 2-0 lead heading into halftime. Those two goals were all the Titans needed as they held on down the stretch to earn their first state berth since 2013, and the program's second overall. #7 Norris will play #2 Omaha Skutt on Thursday at 8 pm at Morrison Stadium on the Campus of Creighton University in Omaha.
