In the deciding game of the B7 District Tourney, with the winner moving on to the State Tournament  in Hastings on October 16th,  Norris pitcher Alexis Wiggins shined in a complete game 5 hitter featuring a 17 strikeout effort.  NHS topped Northwest 3-2 in dramatic fashion overcoming a 2-0 deficit in the 5th inning.  Trailing by 2 and with 2 out in the bottom of the 5th, Wiggins helped her own cause by slamming a solo home run to pull Norris within a run.  Not to be outdone, the very next Titan hitter Taylor McMurray blasted a monstrous homer to tie the game at 2-2.  In the 6th inning seniors Olivia Ozenbaugh and Carli Kohout  started the inning with back to back singles.  Then Molly VanderHamm drove a deep SAC fly to the left field fence to plate pinch runner Alexis Bishoff with the go ahead run giving NHS the  3-2 lead.  Wiggins closed the game with a 1,2,3 all strikeout inning.  The Titans finished  the regular season with a 20-8 record and will enter the State Tournament in Hastings as the #7 seed, facing Beatrice on Wednesday morning at 9 AM.
