Titans Top Trojans 12-2
The Norris Titans entered the B-2 District softball tournament in Nebraska City on Thursday, October 4th as the second seed and defeated the Platteview Trojans 12-2 in a run rule 4 inning game. Platteview took an early lead 2-0 in the top of the 1st inning but Norris answered with 3 tallies to take a 3-2 advantage in the bottom of the frame when Kenzie Roy singled, stole second and was driven home by Olivia Ozenbaugh's double. Ana Krueger followed with a 2 run homer to give the Titans the 3-2 lead. Roy's 3 run homer in the next inning highlighted a 5 run Norris 2nd inning. Winning pitcher Taylor McMurray retired the last 11 batters she faced in cruising to the 12-2 Titan win.
