Norris Titans Varsity Clinches Lead in Sixth Inning for Victory Over Waverly

Norris Titans Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Waverly on Monday. The game was tied at two with Norris Titans Varsity batting in the bottom of the sixth when Alexis Bishoff singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Norris Titans Varsity pitchers struck out 12, while Waverly pitchers sat down three.

Norris Titans Varsity fired up the offense in the second inning, when Matthea Boon doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Alexis Wiggins took the win for Norris Titans Varsity. She allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking zero.

Megan Brinkman took the loss for Waverly. She lasted three innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out one.

Jacee Carlow started the game for Norris Titans Varsity. She allowed five hits and two runs over five innings, striking out seven Kaylei Denison started the game for Waverly. She lasted three innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out two

Norris Titans Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. Bishoff and Wiggins all managed multiple hits for Norris Titans Varsity. Wiggins and Bishoff each collected two hits to lead Norris Titans Varsity.

Waverly didn't commit a single error in the field. Brooke Luedders had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
