Titans lose to Blair but rebound against the Blue Jays

Last week Norris traveled to Blair to take on the Bears.  The first quarter was a quick paced game with both teams running the court. Blair had the lead by one 19 to 18.  In the second quarter the Titans didn't shoot the ball well and they fell behind by 8, 27 to 35.  Blair shot tremendous the whole night as they hit 12 of 18 shots from the 3 point line and they shot 53% for the Game.  Norris could get no closer than 3 or 4 points late in the fourth quarter and Blair went on to defeat Norris by a score of 67 to 61.

Last Saturday the Titans played host to the Seward Blue Jays.  Seward came into the game with no victories but had played all of the opponents within a few points, so the Titans knew it was going to be a tough game.  The first half was another up and down fast paced game as both teams were shooting well and playing hard.  Seward went into the half, leading 31 to 30.  In the third, both defenses played better and the scoring slowed down and Seward maintained the lead 41 to 39 after three periods.  In the fourth, Norris changed up their defense and finally wore down Seward enough to gain the lead. The Titans were able to hold on for a victory by breaking the Seward press with two long passes from Reetz to Flodman for lay-ups and the Titans made enough free-throws to win by a score of 60 to 55.
