Jake Peterson leads the Titans to 6-0 EMC tourney first round win!

An exceptional effort by Jake Peterson carried the Titans to a 6-0 win in seven innings over Plattsmouth on Tuesday in EMC tournament action.

Jake struck out 11, paving the way for a the Titans win. The Titans' pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

The Titans blew out Plattsmouth thanks to nine hits, including four extra base hits. The Titans scored three runs in the fifth on a groundout by Kolton Meyer and a two-run home run by Grant Albers.

Grant Albers racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Titans.

Neumann took the loss for Plattsmouth. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

The Titans went up for good in the first, scoring one run on a sacrifice fly byJackson Reetz.

The Titans matched their one-run fourth inning with one more in the sixth. In the fourth, the Titans scored on a sacrifice fly by Terrell Rose, plating Josh Gutzmer

The Titans will play the EMC semi fianl Thursday agaisnt Elkhorn at Elkhorn Legion Field.  Game time 4:30.
