Titans notch win as 'Coaches were Unsure'

The boys basketball coaches were "Unsure" of what they would see from their team on opening night.  With the Football team making a great run through the play-offs, the basketball team only had three weeks to get ready for the first game.  In those 15 practices, the coaches only had all of the varsity players for one day.  Some of the players had one or two practices and others had five.  Only a couple of players were able to be at all of the practices. " Unsure" of whether the Titans would show improvement of their two goals this year," Better Defense" and to "Play as One", the coaches had their answer, at least for one game.   Norris played tremendous defense, holding the Plattsmouth Blue-Devils to just 31 points and playing together out the first quarter as Norris jumped out early and then finished the quarter leading 17 to 8.  In the second quarter as the Titans were throwing in fresh players every few minutes, Plattsmouth couldn't handle the Titan pressure and Norris outscored Plattsmouth, 22 to 5 to give them a 39 to 13 Halftime lead.  Norris continued to play well the second half as they went on to a 67 to 31 victory.  Norris caused 26 Blue-Devil turnovers for the game while committing 11 of the own.

Scoring for Norris:  Logan Dorn 10, James Kruger 10, Dylan Bohlke 9, Jakson Reetz 8, Bryce Peterson 8, Tony Mailelli 6,            Josh Gutzmer 5, Halston Hartley 4, Jake Peterson 4, Byron Hood 3
