8th grade Titans walk away with 24-0 victory over Platteview

The Norris eighth grade Titans took on the Platteview Trojans last Tuesday in their third game of the season.  At the end of a scoreless first quarter, a missed exchange led to a fumble recovery by Norris. On the following series, Brody Zabel ran 37 yards for a touchdown to make the score 6-0.  After a dominating defensive stand, the Titans took over and scored once again on a screen pass to Cameron Eigsti. Platteview responded on the next series by moving the ball into Titanterritory, but were stopped when a pass was intercepted by Dylan Lindstrom.  The Titans ended the half with a score of 18-0, and took over on offense at the beginning of the third quarter, where they scored yet another touchdown on a deep pass from Cole Graham to Garrison Gustin.  During the fourth quarter, Platteview found their stride and moved the ball deep into Titan territory, but a long pass attempt was broken up and intercepted by Graham, now on the defensive side of the ball.  As the game clock clicked to zero, the Norris 8th grade Titans walked away with a 24-0 victory.  When asked to comment on the game and the team's performance, Coach Dorn stated, "the team has come a long way this year, especially on the defensive side of the ball, and have made improvements each week."  The Norris 8th grade football team will play their final home game this coming Tuesday, October 9th, against Plattsmouth.
