Board of Education vacancy application

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Board of Education of Norris School District #160 as a result of the death of Patty Bentzinger. In accordance with state law, the Board will begin the process of appointing an individual to complete the remainder of Mrs. Bentzinger’s term on the board. The length of the unexpired term is for the same length of time as Ms. Bentzinger would have served on the Board of Education. Interested Applicants must live in Ward 2 to be appointed for the open seat.

Strong defensive helps Girls past Skutt

Norris defeated Skutt 44-26 and played one of their better defensive games of the season holding Skutt to 33% shooting from the field.  In the first quarter Norris jumped out to an early lead and led going into the second quarter 13-7.  Skutt hit two three point field goals in the second quarter to account for six of their eight points as Norris led at halftime 24-15.  The third quarter was critical and the Lady Titans held Skutt to just three points for the quarter while extending their lead going into the final quarter.  Norris was able to convert 7 of 8 free throws to seal the win and not allow Skutt opportunities to get back into the game and went on to win 44 - 26.
