Titan 8th Graders Defeat Pioneers

The Norris 8th grade football team soundly defeated the Nebraska City Pioneers Tuesday in their last showing at home.  After falling briefly behind after a long pass by the Pioneers, The Titans finished with a touchdown of their own.  Nearly forced to punt on the first offensive possession, a long pass to Skyler Schwaninger prolonged the drive which resulted in a Norris lead, 8-6.  The Titans would go on to keep the lead for the remainder of the game, with Cade Argo scoring once and Drew Reetz an additional five times.  One of Reetz's scores followed the second Pioneer touchdown, as he returned the kickoff for a touchdown.  Keegan Johnson was four for six in kicking PAT's, all successful with the exception of one blocked and the other a result of a bad snap.  The 8th grade Titans will travel to Gretna for their final contest of the year and are excited to extend their four-game winning streak.  "Finishing the year with a win would be a huge success for this group of guys," Coach Murtaugh stated in a post-game interview.  "They have made great strides since last year, and their improvement shows on the field."
